Exploring basic Quantum Computer Algorithms

This session expands on the students’ skills developed in the earlier session by focusing on the basics of algorithms and quantum circuits, which are the “programs” of a quantum computer.  For example, we’ll learn how a quantum computer can search a list or unsorted values in unbelievably less time that we can using a classical computer. Students will develop an algorithm to add two numbers – not a natural thing for a quantum computer to do, actually. Of course, we’ll program quantum computer equivalent of the classical computer’s ‘hello world.’
